My $10,000 turkey

My first attempt at making a turkey certainly didn't look very pretty, but it was tasty and moist. I used this recipe which won the $10,000 prize in America's Top Recipe Contest 2006.

The recipe called for 2 cups of fresh lemon juice which equaled 11 lemons in our case. We don't have a lemon squeezer and the juice was killing my hands. Thank goodness for these three life(turkey)savers. Also, notice the pile of garlic (three heads worth!):

~I started cutting it before I remembered to take the picture. But...there's no getting around it. It was never pretty...

ICM (where I work) gave us each a turkey for Christmas (alas, no Christmas bonus). So should I try your recipe for it? I'm not a big turkey person. I wonder if I could spice it enough or make it fruity enough or something so that I would like it better. I wish they gave us ham.
