A week of butterflies
Kievan started off the week decorating a butterfly cake at her cake decorating class...
...and yesterday we all went to the zoo and loved the new butterfly house that just opened.
Here are the varieties of butterflies in the house:
I think building our own butterfly house must be a project for us next year!
I didn't get a picture of it, the but chrysalis house was neat too. I didn't realize until yesterday how much variety there was between the different chrysalis(es?). Some looked like leaves, others looked like mean insects with pincers, others looked like large nuts. Some were simply jewel-like wrapped in shiny gold rings.
