Update on gardens
~before...

~We're still not done, but we're saving the rest of our plans for next year. Do you like my mother's day present from awesome husband Brad (the beautiful arbor)?

~Before...

~This garden has provided a lot of salads for us- there are at least eight different types of lettuce. The cucumbers and peppers are ready, but we're still waiting on the tomatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower. (Yes, we have let a lot of it go to seed/flower, which we know we're not supposed to do...) We've learned a lot about pests and fertilizers :-)

~Before...

~One of the shorter varieties of sunflowers has started blooming. We find it interesting that the stalks of the (eventual) 12 footers are only about 1/3 as thick as the stalks of the short ones. The morning glory vines are growing around the Mammoth variety, but no blooms as of yet.)
