She's......13!

Brad and I can't believe that our first baby is now a teenager. Chloe has turned 13!!! (Brad has been tearing up all day.)
Anyway, to celebrate I took Chloe to a salon to get her first "real" hairstyle. I don't think any of us were prepared for the amazing transformation that happened. As Brad's mom put it, when Choe sat in the salon chair she was a twelve year old and when she got out she was a teenager. The younger children were transfixed by Chloe when she walked in with her new "do" and Ben even said she "sounded different" when she talked :-)

Here are a few pictures of her new hairstyle. (I also have a really funny picture of Brad's face when he saw her after it was done, but I forgot to download it and don't have more time now. I'll try to get to it tomorrow.)

Crazy for the Computer Chloe is currently building her own 'website' using Front Page. So far, everything she has built has been done on her own including design, building the tables and cells, personalizing their properties, inserting hyperlinks, etc. She builds her own graphics using Paint Shop Pro. We finally got our winter snow! We had perfect winter weather today. It was on the warm side for snow (somewhere between 34 & 36 degrees) and the beautiful flakes were numerous. By the way, Chloe knitted the scarf she is wearing. *The bald eagle returned today. This is quite a record considering we usually only see him about twice a month. He still seems to be scavenging on Matthew Island. We're considering canoeing out and putting fish (or something) on the bank everyday to ensure that we see him on the Backyard Bird Count (Feb 17-20) www.birdsource.com/
