Play like the Pioneers: Jacob's Ladder For this week's Westward Expansion project the girls made toys called Jacob's Ladders. We had a hard time with these because it was hard to push the tacks into the wood and if we used a hammer the little heads would bend off. After constructing them, we figured out they would work better if we'd left the ribbons looser. They are fun to play with though!

Daffodils
First signs of spring- little daffodils or jonquils. We'll have to check later, but the two types of flowers look the same except that daffodils have leaves forming off of their stems and jonquils don't.

Males don't need chairs, I guess...
