Cinnamon Rolls and More

In anticipation of a friend's visit, we made homemade cinnamon rolls including all the kneading, rising, shaping, and frosting. This is the recipe we used: http://tinyurl.com/dywm3 . Even though the rolls didn't turn out very pretty they were yummy!

Good-bye Tiny!

Today our favorite puppy found a new home. Tiny is the first to leave. His new owner, Doris, has a special method to help her pick out puppies. First, she crouches next to the group of puppies to see which one will approach her first. Then she picks it up and cradles it in her arms on its back. If the puppy wiggles and tries to get away, that's not the one for her. Her method must work well because we agree that the one she picked, Tiny, is the sweetest puppy of them all.

*The bald eagle returned several times today. He seems to be feeding on something dead on Matthew Island.

Crazy for the Computer Chloe is currently building her own 'website' using Front Page. So far, everything she has built has been done on her own including design, building the tables and cells, personalizing their properties, inserting hyperlinks, etc. She builds her own graphics using Paint Shop Pro. We finally got our winter snow! We had perfect winter weather today. It was on the warm side for snow (somewhere between 34 & 36 degrees) and the beautiful flakes were numerous. By the way, Chloe knitted the scarf she is wearing. *The bald eagle returned today. This is quite a record considering we usually only see him about twice a month. He still seems to be scavenging on Matthew Island. We're considering canoeing out and putting fish (or something) on the bank everyday to ensure that we see him on the Backyard Bird Count (Feb 17-20) www.birdsource.com/
