The Exciting Day (sans camera)

O.K., it might not have been all that exciting. But there were a few camera shots I think you would've enjoyed.

This morning Miss M took Chloe, Kievan, and me to a peach orchard about an hour away where we got some delectable peaches. I had NO idea how many types of peaches there are. I should've guessed- I mean there are tons of different kinds of apples so why not peaches? I learned a few new names and all about "cling" and "freestone"-why didn't I know this before?

Later this afternoon we had the great excitement of a car losing power on Main St and plowing into the corner of our iron fence. The fence's corner post is bent a little, but the fire hydrant stopped the car from doing more damage. I think every police car and city water truck in the 'boro was parked in front of our house for awhile. Ben loved it. The driver (who seemed very nice in my obviously faulty opinion) was later taken away in a police car, handcuffed. Ben (Ok, the rest of us too) enjoyed watching the tow truck guy trying to maneuver the car off of the hydrant in order to take it away. (He was successful- the hydrant didn't break, no flood.)
