Summer Nights & Days
After the sun goes down in the evening, we usually go for a "walk" around the neighborhood. I'm usually the only one, however, that actually walks. The kids' preferred mode of transportation is a little more dangerous. I must confess that I try not to look at Ben as he flies down the hills on his scooter---faster than all the others (except Kievan, who has been given the responsibility of staying in front of Ben no-matter-what in order to watch out for cars backing out of driveways) He's had very few wipe-outs, thankfully. And, when he does, he gets right back on, bloody knees/elbows/head and all, in order to catch up to Kievan. It's a different story when Allie falls. The whole neighborhood is notified by high-pitched screaming. *The picture below was taken about (2) seconds before Allie took a tumble- right where the dreiveway intersects with the sidewalk.

Well, I haven't had much to post lately, but here's what has been going on in our lives:
Chloe started her one-week painting class this Monday and has been enjoying it tremendously. The class is held in the house across the street from us and Miss J, a former nun, is the very sweet proprietor of the little art school.
Although we haven't really begun trying to potty-train, Ben has gone a few times on his own. When I try to make him, though, he refuses.
Kievan has been working on her poetry journal, which she started last year. Once we get the other computer online (it has all the files) I hope to get her journal printed and softbound.
Allie's birthday is coming up and she is full of plans :-)
I've been working hard to get the house organized. It is more organized, but it really doesn't look better.
I've also been getting ready for our new school year. We'll be starting a month early this year (on July 31), since we lost a few weeks last year due to our move...and we plan to be out of town a bit this year too!

I read your post on Crystal's blog. Of all the posts on her blog you seem to have a good sense of realty. People can dress modestly and still by in style. I am not sure Crystal understands, because that apron she was wearing makes her appear older than she is. I do not see the reason for it. This is not what relationship with Jesus is about. How can the holy spirit dwell in a person who is so legalistic? I know she is sincere and means well but she never speaks of the holy spirit.
