Snowed In

Because of all of the sleet, ice, and snow, and temperatures that haven't made it into double digits, we haven't been able to leave the house since Friday. Brad is stuck 3 hrs away in our old house, but he's had plenty of time to do a lot of fix-up projects. We couldn't get out of our driveway to go to church today.

Backyard Bird Count

Well, the bald eagle did not show up this weekend, so we don't get to count him for the Backyard Bird Count statistics. We didn't even go outside to do the count because it is so bitterly cold, watching from inside instead.

This is our list of birds:
~ 10 juncos
~ 1 blue heron
~ 1 mourning dove
~ 5 hooded mergansers
1 male, 4 female

Crazy for the Computer Chloe is currently building her own 'website' using Front Page. So far, everything she has built has been done on her own including design, building the tables and cells, personalizing their properties, inserting hyperlinks, etc. She builds her own graphics using Paint Shop Pro. We finally got our winter snow! We had perfect winter weather today. It was on the warm side for snow (somewhere between 34 & 36 degrees) and the beautiful flakes were numerous. By the way, Chloe knitted the scarf she is wearing. *The bald eagle returned today. This is quite a record considering we usually only see him about twice a month. He still seems to be scavenging on Matthew Island. We're considering canoeing out and putting fish (or something) on the bank everyday to ensure that we see him on the Backyard Bird Count (Feb 17-20) www.birdsource.com/
