On Saturday...

We visited a small rural town about 45 minutes from us. A few days ago, a news reporter on our local channel did a short special on a renovated Roman Catholic church in that little town. She said she had never been in a Roman Catholic church before, and that it was the most beautiful building she had ever been in. Needless to say, we were intrigued and decided to see it for ourselves. It was beautiful, especially considering that it was built in the late 1800s and even now, the little town has only 6,000 people!

After the church we had a picnic lunch at a nearby park~















This billboard made me chuckle for a variety of reasons but I thought it also lended itself well to a standardized test-type question. (OK, I admit I have standardized tests on my mind since the girls have been taking theirs this past week.)
